I just think about things and write them down

Women power, Women hands in the air, Animated

We Are Women

It is still not over.
It is still not enough.
Women should be equal—
but we are not.
So don’t congratulate what you don’t mean.

We are still scrutinised,
still judged,
still denied the rights we should have had long ago.
We still have to fight.
We are still different—
but not less.

Yet, year after year, the hype is real.
Go ahead, spend some money on us.
Say the words:
“Happy Women’s Day.”
“Here’s something nice.”

So we can pretend the world remembers.
The pain.
The struggle.
The inequality.
The ridicule.

No, you don’t have to congratulate me.
Yes, I can vote,
but I am still talked over.
I still earn less than a man.
I still feel unsafe walking home alone.
I still have to fight for choices over my own body.

Because I am a woman.
And just so you know—
We are enough.
We are equal.
We are more.

We are Women.
